Kim Colavito Markesich

Kim Colavito Markesich is a graduate of the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and worked twenty-seven years as a freelance writer for the College. Her writing has focused on science, health, and the environment. She holds a particular interest in healthy construction, and taught an online course, Creating Healthier Homes. Her floral textbook, Retail Florist Manual, was published by Stipes Publishing in 1995 and 2021.

In addition to UConn publications, Kim has written for newspapers and magazines. She is currently working on a middle grade book, and is  co-writing a memoir for Christopher Carlin, LCSW,  which details Chris’s journey that included more than five years in the New York State foster care system.
